Safety on our Roads

Your Excellency, The President of The Republic of Kenya, Honorable Uhuru Kenyatta.
Best regards and Christmas Greetings.
Sir, this morning I am sending a plea and Sincerely I hope you will get this from this forum . Sir am in pain and my heart bleeds. Am glad you addressed this query- Road accidents yesterday during your Jamhuri speech. It comforted me that something is being done.
Since last few months, we have heard and seen grizzly pictures of accidents happening on our roads. In the last three days we have lost dozens and am sure even more have been left crippled, orphaned and families are less bread winners. Kenya has lost promising , hardworking citizens among them recently some very young musicians.
I am sure like me Sir you must be sick and tired to hear this number of deaths occurring every single day on our roads in the famously so called/named black spots areas; more especially in Salgaa in Nakuru county.
In the month of November, we witnessed all passengers in a 14 seat van die. I will not be able to list other thousands who have lost lives on our roads in Garissa, Nakuru, Baringo, Turkana, Muranga, Nyeri, Mombasa, Kisumu, Homabay, Kiambu, but the rate at which the deaths are being reported every passing day, Mr. President is saddening.
For example and a case scenario, born and bred in Kenya , Salgaa was not a village we grew up hearing much about.I doubt my age mates( rest for those who originally come from Molo , Nakuru County) knew much about Salgaa. I would be very very impressed if the fame comes with good tidings, but no it has turned out to be a slaughter point where our brothers and sisters have had to die day in day out. .
I feel it is my duty to file this petition and address and urge you our President, His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta to please take action. It is not easy to keep calm as our brothers are being murdered and killed, while others are crippled because, some people decided to be careless, others ply un roadworthy vehicles on the roads and authorities we have entrusted on ensuring we are safe on our roads decided to sleep on their jobs. Children are being orphaned, bread winners are ripped off families and parents are burying their children every day because irresponsibility has become a norm in our country.
Sir, I am requesting for an immediate action in all our roads. I understand that your government is already addressing this, and I do appreciate . However, since i have not seen anything on the ground, I have taken the risk of raising this with you. I know there are protocols and i deeply respect all persons i should have raised this with, I regret i have even bypassed the relevant departments since I fear that someone, my brothers/sisters will die today, tomorrow, or the day after.
Your Excellency, please, I beg, listen to these , I know you are a caring man. I ask that your government to please consider the following.
- Make all concern departments who should be working day and night to ensure Kenyans who look up to you for road safety know that it is not business as usual.
If it will take some losing their jobs for being irresponsible, or it will take some people working day and night to come up with a lasting solution, or if it will require doing away with some of this bodies and creating new one with performers ( we need Matiang'is and Marwas or Michukis ) . Whatever drastic action needed Sir, please make us proud to have trusted you.
I believe that my prayers represent those of millions who are silently bleeding and pleading for some actions.
Thank you, Your Excellency.
