A small section of western bypass service lane between Riverside and Kingeero (about 600 metres) is being left out even after the contractor damaging the road and terrorizing the residents with mud,noise,dust and huge portholes resulting in impassable part of the service lane which all along had almost attained the all weather standards as it used to benefit from maintenance by funding from the World Bank regularly but after interference,it no longer gets the funds.The residents have made numerous petitions with appended signatures Identity card and phone numbers and the same presented to the concerned authorities as well as area MP @Githua Wamacukuru for tabling at the Kenyan National Assembly. Despite all that ,either the efforts have landed on deaf ears or have been totally ignored as days turned into weeks which continued turning into months, school going children has really suffered, the sick being forced to endurance and more agony, the essential services providers continue sidelining the affected portion causing the residents to pay more higher prices even for the simple basics,burglary and merging as a result of deserted road is nowadays very common,business is on the verge of collapsing if nothing is done soon and the contractor is in the last stage of winding up.
