We, the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, ask the lawmakers of the state, to propose and pass a bill that will allow Sports Betting to be legalized in the state of Kentucky. 

We have seen some of our surrounding states we border, pass bills that allow Sports Betting to be legalized in the state. Many of our neighboring states have already enjoyed the fruit of their labor. Taking Indiana for example since passing a legalized Sports Book:

$5.1 billion in wagering
$412.5 million in gross revenue
$78.3 million in tax revenue

We, the residents of this fine state, are tired of having to cross state lines to make a legalized sports bet, and contributing to nearby economies. We could in fact be staying home and helping our own economy grow and prosper. 

Currently, horse betting is legalized in the state and it comes with it's own benefits. It is NOW the time to act and add Sports Betting to the list as well.
