There are bill requests for unconstitutional gun laws in the Kentucky legislature, more specifically BR 342 and BR 354. They deny citizens the right to due process, subject them to unreasonable search/seizure and would deny them ownership of certain types of weapons, parts of weapons and accessories. Declare Fayette County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary, and let Frankfort know that our county law enforcement will not enforce unconstitutional laws, and our citizens will not comply.

This is an important issue to the citizens of Fayette County. The 2nd Amendment covers all bearable arms and instruments. ( per US Supreme Court, Caetano v. Massachusetts) this means that no government entity has authority to ban or limit ownership of any firearm part, or accessory. In addition, " red flag laws" violate the 4th, 5th and 14th amendments ( US Constitution ) and several sections of the much more specific Kentucky Constitution, by denying citizens the right to due process. If these measures are passed and local law enforcement attempts to act on them, it will not be well received by the people.
