I am signing this petition because decent community members should not have to be punished. Make racist accountability for their actions. These racist know what they are doing is wrong because they have not come forward. Criminals hide. Take notice... those who are fighting for justice aren't hiding.

It's time to install cameras. Removing the rock sends the wrong message.

This behavior needs to end, using cameras will hopefully get us to see who is hurting our community in this way.

Going to Kent State was such an experience for me. I always felt love and unity while I was there, which makes me so sick that this is happening now!!! It absolutely had no home in Kent and needs to end immediately. As a university that prices themselves so heavily in diversity, they must also show that there is. If they are students doing this, they have no right to attend there. Use cameras, limit when people can, anything. The rock was so many things while I was there, but it most definitely should not be used for hated. There is no room in this world for that. Do better.

I’m signing this petition because racism should not be allowed on a campus that prides itself on it’s diversity. You can not pay yourselves on the back for having students of color at your school and not fight to protect them and their right to feel safe on campus. Kent State must do better for it’s students; specifically, Kent State must do better for it’s black students.

This is completely unacceptable and as a Black alum, I demand that something be done in this regard. Protect your students. Period.

Hate has no home on the campus on my alma mater. Not only that, but the rock should not be removed because it has become a staple of the Kent State Community. Keep the rock, end the hate.
