There are several roads in the Sherwood ward where cars travelling over the 30mph speed limit is causing significant concern for local residents. Speed hot spots include road sections near Temple Grove Primary School, crossing locations for children walking to secondary schools and residents crossing the road to bus stops.

The Sherwood Traffic Action Group was set up for elected local representatives and local residents to address these concerns. Several solutions are being progressed, and this petition seeks local resident approval for the proposed adoption of the Kent County Council Speed Indicator Device Scheme for Liptraps, Birken and Sandhurst Roads.
