Help us get back to school!
Students at Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology pay a tuition of approximately $20,000 to attend school and become licensed cosmetologists upon completion of the program. Recently, students have been placed on distance learning and are expected to participate in Zoom classes to be credited hours towards the program. The cosmetology industry is a hands-on field in which hands-on experience and training is necessary. As students, we do not believe we are receiving adequate education and training from these Zoom classes, especially considering the cost of this school.
This petition is being circulated and signed by students who believe it is vital to our education to experience in-person, on-campus training. We, the students, agree to adhere to the proper safety precautions set forth by the CDC, to include the continuation of wearing masks, washing hands, the use of hand sanitizer, social distancing, temperature checks, complete sanitization and sterilization of space, implements, supplies, etc. It is our belief that if others are concerned about their safety, then those students/employees should remain home. Those of us who feel safe under the CDC guidelines wish to be on campus getting the proper education that is necessary in this industry, as well as the education and training we are paying for.
