Way to go South Africa, I am proud of you for taking this stance. It is barbaric that humans would gain any sort of pleasure at the expense of an innocent animal!

Every "sport" involving animals and money inevitably leads to extreme cruelty and greed. Let greyhounds run for the love of it but not for financial gain.

It is in-humane, unethical, cruel, and the future of the dogs is so disturbing. What has happened to human's that they are so cruel to animals, as well as fellow human beings. Lot's of evil in this world. Keep dog racing out PERIOD.

This is very important to me and probably to many others. Dogs are our companions, not toys. They are a living being just as we are which therefore gives them the right to love us and create friendship with humans. However, for some reason, instead of returning the favor, some of us create horrid contraptions such as dog racing. As other people have already said, that's not a sport… that's hell.

I watched Carte Blanche last night and was horrified that this is taking place in SA and the terrible conditions these dogs are being kept in, especially in the rural areas. It disgusts me that the government is thinking of legalising it. It can only be to make money, because that is all this government is worried about. Extra money for their own indulgences.

Breeding for personal gain is morally and ethically reprehensible
