Daniel Simmons started this petition to Kennesaw State University and

The methods for teaching for online undergraduate degrees, especially cyber security are sub-par. Teaching is lazy, professors seem to treat the classes as second class and the content is mediocre. Simply a chapter, discussion, and quiz every week and thats our education, I have learned more from Cybrary.com in 2 months than I have from 2 years at KSU cyber. I'm a senior in the cyber security program and have not learned anything to actively demonstrate my knowledge of cyber security from KSU, just terms and definitions. These have been frustrations CYBR/ISA has been saying for years now and with covid and online classes, many more have been feeling the inadequate teaching styles.

2 Things that should be changed:

1) Video Lectures for all online classes. Some of us have no choice but to take online courses, but that doesn't mean we don't want teachers. We want to hear explanations from professors, not just a textbook and online articles/magazines

2) Professors have to make their own content. I didn't pay a bunch of money for them to tell me read pcmag.com, geeksforgeeks.com, or computer.howstuffworks.com articles on operating systems and systems security and have no content of their own. You hold us to high standards for plagiarism and producing our own work, we expect that of Professors as well! Dont just copy test and quizzes from a test bank for a textbook. It turns into a glorified vocabulary class. You want us to actively prepare for the classes, make something worth preparing for. It makes the teaching seem lazy and that there is a disconnect between the professors and the content.

If your a cyber major or an online major please sign this, because I know a lot of you have these same frustrations and want the programs to change for a quality education.
