Traffic, noise pollution and unsafe pedestrian crossings on Plainfield Road in Oswego, IL has grown considerably in the last 18 months.  This change.org petition seeks to change that.

Specifically, we the residents of Oswego, IL want the following:

- A stoplight placed at the intersection of Woolley and Plainfield Road.  There is a pedestrian crosswalk at this intersection, but cars rarely stop to allow people to cross.  We are concerned about the possibility of a serious accident or fatality occurring in this area.

- A stoplight put in at Linden Drive and Plainfield Road.  Our subdivisions continue to grow, and this intersection is also becoming more dangerous.  Turning North from Linden onto Plainfield Road is difficult for cars, and school buses.  Children riding bikes and pedestrian traffic also use this intersection to get to our schools.  It can be safer than current conditions. 

- Speed limit reduced to 35MPH on southbound Plainfield Road until it reaches Collins Road.
