Ken Bennett is the top election official in Arizona. It is inappropriate and unethical for him to hold a position in any campaign, let alone the Presidential race. How can we trust that voting rights will be protected when the Secretary of State has a vested interest in the outcome of the election? The answer is we can't.
When Katherine Harris held the same positions in Florida in 2000 - Secretary of State and George W. Bush campaign chair - there were numerous and outrageous irregularities with that election, including thousands of legitimate voters getting purged from the rolls in a blatant strategy of suppressing the opposition's voters.
Ken Bennett must pick one position:. Arizona Secretary of State OR Mitt Romney's AZ Campaign chair. He can't be both and maintain personal integrity and our faith in the integrity of the system.
