There had been widespread and persistent rumours that the new primary school curriculum, which included KBAT, was inappropriate for students' age. For instance, I was reading a social-media post today in which a parent expressed conncern over their standard 1 son's response to the question about "jisim." The responses to the post were conflicting, with not only many parents agreeing with the "disappointed question," but also TEACHERS responding that the question should not have been asked in the first place.

I genuinely believe that KBAT was developed to help our pupils think and learn more effectively. However, we must keep in mind that the mental ability of humans increases with age. My genuine question is this: How reliable and valid is the KBAT's curricular mapping in terms of assigning the appropriate learning outcome to the appropriate age of learners? And, in my opinion, whatever has not been accomplished globally or universally acknowledged is a matter that deserves revision.

Nonetheless, the solution to this issue is not to continue arguing, but to view it as one that requires redesigning, remodelling in order to incorporate KBAT as a tool that sounds appropriate, and practically appropriate.
