Bring Back Universiti Malaya (UM) Pharmacy Programme

Bring Back Universiti Malaya (UM) Pharmacy Programme

On 1st September 2018, as reported in the news, UNIVERSITI MALAYA’s (UM) Bachelor of Pharmacy programme has been removed from the curriculum after the loss of accreditation. As arguably one of the top university in Malaysia and Asia, it is very saddening to hear such news. UM Bachelor of Pharmacy Programme is one of the top Pharmacy school in Malaysia. This programme has produced so many excellent, hardworking, knowledgable and professional pharmacists throughout the years. Many of whom have contributed so much to society all these years. And now, this top programme is axed for not passing the requirements set by MQA and LFM. While this issue is totally not the fault of MQA and LFM as they are following the standards and requirement that has been set for all pharmacy school in Malaysia, the aim of the petition is NOT to put blame on anyone as NOBODY in our opinion is to be blamed in this matter, it is merely to show support to the pharmacy programme. Our hope is that UM can consider the support by malaysians for this pharmacy programme with the help and support from MOE. We really hope all Malaysian can join us in signing the petition to give a general overview of our support for the continuation of the programme so that it can continue to produce more and more professional pharmacists for our beloved Malaysia. Lets do the right thing and bring back this programme for the sake of our future generation #SaveUMPharmacy
