Alfred Samuel Mariyaras started this petition to Kementerian Alam Sekitar dan Air and

Are you fed up with water cuts and worse no advance notice? It seems that the Government is taking it very lightly by imposing low fines and no imprisonment for the offenders, hence they are so daring to do it again.Be it under Pakatan Harapan or Perikatan Nasional, the problem keep on recurring especially in Selangor.

This is my proposal and if you have better suggestion, please add on.

1)Air Selangor or Syabas must prepare spare waterbin or alternative water service to every house in Selangor. They must be held responsible to ensure there is no water disruption that would affect businesses and the life of the consumers. No such thing as queing at water truck and waiting for its arrival. They have to figure out the logistics, back up plans and ensure water supplies is sufficient. All of this must be executed within 24 hours.Advance notice must come with action plan within the first 24 hours.Otherwise Businesses and Malaysians can sue and claim losses through legal means from the service provider.

2)The law must be in order.Imprisonment and hefty fines on the organisation that is caught responsible for water pollution. This must start by shutting down their operation including their subsidaries.Any individual including employee of the organisation that is involved in the such operation to be held responsible and a failure to notify authority is consider as accomplice.

KPDNHEP, DOE, KASA, KETSA,MESTECC and KPKT must be put on spotlight to answer and work on this issues.

Do not take this lightly.Time to make some noise and give zero tolerance to this issues. The economy and impact due to Covid-19 is bad enough. We do not need to tolerate with basic issues.

We change government and that is politic but there should be no room to be given for service failures in utility, healthcare and education. This are basic needs!
