Food Not Bombs, Stop Paying Child Molesters

We demand to see the financial records of Food Not Bombs Taos.
For at least 2 years, Keith McHenry, co-founder of Food Not Bombs, and director of the Taos Chapter, allowed a man, indicted by a grand jury on 4 counts of sexual penetration of a child, to represent the Food Not Bombs Taos.
We thought David Lewis, the perpetrator, was volunteering to build himself a good character profile. However, at trial we learned that Keith had been paying $1000 a month to David Lewis to oversee the organization's Free Skool and Saturday free food at the Historic Plaza. We also learned that the perpetrator was on supervised release, $50,000 bail, including an ankle monitor that cost him $400 per month.
Though McHenry maintains his belief in David's innocence, a grand jury has indicted Lewis and a jury has found Lewis guilty beyond a reasonable doubt on all four counts.
We the community are looking into ways that FNB can make ammends for promoting a perpetrator to the children of Taos. We demand McHenry make ammends for having spent more than two years calling the young survivor a liar while covering the cost of David Lewis', court-mandated ankle bracelet.
To Keith McHenry, if your organization is against violence, then your brand is in need of rehabilitation. Moving money that you'd been spending against a young victim of violence directly into her hands should signal to us all that you're sorry. She is 17, graduated from high school, and ready to put that money towards higher education.
We demand FNB founder Keith McHenry immediately transfer the $1000 stipend he was awarding David Lewis to the now vindicated young survivor. Now, she can return to the Plaza. Now she can return to her public life, serving food she's cooked like she always did before she called out her abuser and was shunned.
