Before the Georgia Tech - Virginia Tech game on November 5, 2022, my 12 week old puppy, Skipper, was attacked by another dog that was off leash near our tailgate.  Thankfully Skipper is recovering quickly, but this situation could have been a lot worse.  There is too much happening on game days - loud noises, kids running around, and increased traffic on campus - for VT's campus to allow dogs to be off leash.  

While the town of Blacksburg has a leash ordinance it doesn't apply on VT's campus.  Virginia Tech needs to adopt rules for dogs on campus to keep everyone safe.
