On Tuesday sept 6th 2022 as well as  all years prior , our local schools were in session as well as open to voting for the public . I’m starting this petition to make our local officials aware of how inappropriate it is to be using the school while our children are there for voting and would ask that they use alternative city buildings . The doors were unlocked yesterday and strangers welcomed in which on a normal day they are locked . I fear the safety of our children and feel as though this is a poor decision to endanger our children . Our children also were also unable to leave their classrooms and unable to use the cafeteria as well as it was raining and could not go outside . I do not feel it is appropriate for them to be trapped in their classrooms all day. Please help me make a Change from this point forward so all years to come voting takes place outside of the school , or if they use the school to make sure school is canceled that day!
