IU Kokomo student life has left the decision to the student government on whether or not the school paper, The Correspondent, should get a budget this year. This would completely shut out student voices and hinder on those students practices to become better writers. Anyone from IU Kokomo can contribute to the paper and the paper presents an opportunity for the students to voice their opinions on certain issues or report on activities going on around the campus and community. The student paper has a rich history starting over 80 years around the 1930’s and it would be a true tragedy to see it go.
