Good morning everyone,

I am starting this petition with the intent to keep the current logo of Southwest Middlesex.  Recently, council has announced that they will be changing our towns logo on the water tower, despite the fact the the current logo is only a couple years old. Signage around the town has only recently been slowly changed to this current logo. Now they would like to change the logo again with a hefty cost of over $28,000.00. SWM citizens did not have a say in this, or the opportunity to put forth an opinion on the idea. I believe that the townspeople should be able to have their say in this.  Glencoe really is “Some Place Special”. We come together, and have grown as a community over the years. Yes, change is good. But change is only good when it helps the whole town. Changing the logo on our water tower for over $28,000.00 is not a good change. That money could be better spent in our community, and given the chance, citizens would be more than willing to give suggestions for the kinds of changes they’d like to see and would support in their community.
