I have lived in our community for over 12 years. This has been one of the most cherished and sought-after developments in the heart of Harper's Ferry. Many families from neighboring states and abroad have found and made our beautiful community of Sheridan Estates their home. Our goal is to keep Sheridan Estates as beautiful today as it was when it was first designed and built. A small few homeowners wish to raise farm animals such as chickens in this residential development where lots average .25 -.33 acres with a few exceptions, not exceeding 1 acre (not more than 5-6 lots out of over 280 lots). Farm animals require much more  responsibilities and bring about risks that may effect the health and safety of our children, domesticated pets, and environment. This venture also invites wild animals such as foxes, coyotes and possibly bears that will seek these chickens out for food in our community to find it. The decision to raise chickens in a residential development also threatens the values of the homes homeowners have worked hard to invest. All we ask is for your support in keeping Sheridan Estates the way it was always designed to be. Beautiful.
