Welch Oklahoma, December 29, 1999 Lauria Bible spent the night with Ashley Freeman to celebrate Ashley's 16th birthday. Early the next morning, the Freeman home was found in flames.  Soon it would known that Danny and Kathy Freeman had been shot to death and their home set on fire.  Lauria and Ashley were abducted, held captive, raped, photographed,  tortured, and later, murdered and their bodies disposed of.  The girls bodies have never been found. Law Enforcement was no help in those first 15 years of the girls disappearance.  it wasn't until 2015 that two detectives, Tammy Ferrari and Gary Stansel dug into the case.  In April of 2018, an arrest was made.  The now, only remaining living suspect, Ronnie Busick was arrested.  After nearly 2.5 years of court hearings he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement.  Now, less than 3 years into that sentence he is being released for good behavior.  

Our family has suffered for more than 23 years of injustice.  We have fought  for Lauria and Ashley, almost completely on our own up until 2015.  Now we are fighting alone again to keep this beast in prison!! If he's allowed out of prison, our family is once again being cast aside as unimportant.  These two teenage girls are still being victimized even in presumed death.  If we allow him to go free, what are we saying to other victims?  What are we telling future predators?  Is it acceptable to commit such a heinous crime and spend less than 3 years in prison?

It's time to stand up for what is right!!  It's time to stand up for Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman!!  

Ronnie Busick is scheduled for release on May 19th, 2023.  We must act fast and swiftly and demand this monster remain behind bars.
