On April 12 the Manitoba Islamic Association invited conservative party candidate Patrick Brown to speak at the Grand Mosque in Winnipeg, after prayer, during Ramadan. Community members found out later that he is a good friend of Narendra Modi, the anti Muslim, fascist prime minister of India. We are upset and disturbed by this fact and would like to issue the following demands: 

1) that the Manitoba Islamic Association issue a public apology to the Indian Muslim community of Winnipeg. 

2) that all politicians, of any party, be banned from speaking in the prayer area at the Grand Mosque and that it be added to the code of ethics or constitution. 

3) that, if politicians wish to address the community, a public forum be organized and advertised well in advance so that community members can question and make demands of their leaders.
