Lee County School District is trying to change our schedules! This means that AICE students will have to choose between Arts and Academics. They will loose a period or two of Electives to give up to AICE classes. No student in Lee County School District, wishes for this change, it is inconvenient and it gives us less learning time. Some students can’t be rushed to learn. Every student learns at a different pace, so those of us who learn slower will be rushed, in turn our testing scores will likely plummet. Teachers will have a hard time fitting all of their lesson plans into 50 minutes, and they will lose their planning period, in turn, they will be worked harder at home, but their pay remains the same. STUDENTS DID NOT NEED NEW SMART BOARDS! WE NEED YOU TO PAY OUR TEACHERS! TEACHERS RUN THE WORLD! If we PAY our teachers, then we wouldn’t have a teacher shortage, then we would NOT BE HAVING TO CRAM OUR SCHEDULES! Teachers will be forced to grade more, and students will be forced to work harder, and faster. This change is completely unfair especially to our seniors, who do not need a sudden, stressful change at the end of their year. PLEASE VOTE to help our schedules remain!
