It’s absolutely disgusting that in this day and age children will be served such food.

The SNP need to get a grip and start looking to spend money to nourish our children. This is an absolute massive step backward and they should be ashamed

Bringing frozen foods into schools is going to have a huge impact on lots of dinner ladies losing their jobs.. Also I don't think the kids will get as much nutritional goodness from the frozen meals compared to the way dinners are being made fresh the now.

You are trying to encouraging healthy cooking at home and get people away from frozen ping meals but you can't even serve the most vulnerable in our society a freshly cooked meal. This is sending out a totally contradictory message. I would also like to know the environmental impact of this? Has that been taken into account?

I believe children are our future and we need to invest in them. Dundee has one of the highest percentages of child poverty is Scotland. What goes into a child’s body should be freshly prepared to maximise the amount of nutrients they take in from this meal, as this might be the only meal of the day they get!!

The kitchens must be kept. The staff do a great job despite facing cuts in running costs every year. These jobs are vital for the community and it will be low paid women workers who will carry the brunt. Children need to have proper fresh food prepared where possible on site.
