Our kids will be spending a lot of time each day for outdoor activities like gym class at P.S 54's new gymnasium. ALL PARENTS BE AWARE that just behind the gym we face a HUGE RISK to our children's safety.

There are two large gates with street access to the school grounds that remain open throughout the entire day even as our kids play nearby. Anyone can walk into and out of the back gates without anyone noticing... until it's too late.

The school plans to put cameras in the back which is a good start but only helps after something bad has already happened. We need to take preventative measures to avoid a worst-case scenario that can potentially turn any one of our families upside-down. Let's come together and make sure our collective voices are heard and require that P.S 54 KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE... LOCK THE BACK GATES!!
