Currently the Kawartha Pine-Ridge District School Board is undertaking a Student Accomodation Review regarding the Elementary Family of Schools in the Municipality of Port Hope.

As a group of concerned North Hope Central Public School parents we are trying to spread awareness of these events and demonstrate our community's concerns regarding the KPRDSB's proposals.

1) As a concerned member of the NORTH HOPE CENTRAL PUBLIC SCHOOL community: I DO NOT support options D & E currently being presented by the KPRDSB (These involve redirecting children currently attending NH to another school. In Option D NH Gr 5 and 6 would attend Hawkins next year and in option E boundaries are changed to send current K-6 NH kids to Beatrice Strong)

2) As a concerned citizen of the Municipality of Port Hope: I DO NOT support transitioning ANY grade 4, 5 & 6 aged school children from the Municipality's elementary family of schools to Dr. M S Hawkins Intermediate School.

3) Furthermore, as it is not in the best interest of childrens' social, emotional and education development: I DO NOT support elementary aged students being housed with intermediate and secondary aged students.
