In today's eco-conscious environment, Nutley residents, especially children and teenagers, are more aware of the trash problems that plague our planet. It is our job as Nutley residents to make sure we are doing our part to keep our town clean.

The Sixth Grade Cadettes of Girl Scout Troop #20462 have canvassed the parks and observed that there are not sufficient trash cans and recycling bins for trash and recycling to be disposed of properly.  There is a need for MORE cans and bins to be added to the Parks. 

They have also noticed that there are no bag dispensers available for dog owners to dispose of dog waste when they are visiting these beautiful parks.

As the receptacles are returned to the parks, please add more of them so we can make sure that ALL of the parks in Nutley have SUFFICIENT trash and recycling containers (dependent upon the size of the park).

Also, please install dog waste bag dispensers so that people can have bags available to them in case they forget to bring one from home.

As a resident of Nutley, I support the Girl Scouts' call to rectify this situation. I respectfully request that you ensure that all Nutley parks have sufficient resources to allow all Nutley residents to enjoy these parks while helping to protect the environment.
