Mrs.Jennings has replaced Mrs.Sears as an ApLit/ Omega 2 teacher while Mrs.Sears is on maternity leave. Although we the students do love Mrs.Sears we think it would be more beneficial to continue the remainder of the school year with Mrs.Jennings as our teacher. It is unfair that we should have to suffer the drama and chaos of switching teachers multiple times in one school year, especially seeing as to how the majority of Mrs.Sears students are seniors and have to focus on keeping up with our grades and planning for college. With any change in authority there is always a period of chaos, with there only being 96 days before we graduate, only 63 days of which are school days we aren’t sure if we could handle that adjustment period without our grades or mental health being at risk. Additionally it would be beneficial for Mrs.Sears to stay home and really get to enjoy motherhood, especially during these key development/bonding times in her child’s life. It would also be extremely beneficial for her Freshman/Sophomore classes in Omega 2. Due to Covid/quarantine they haven’t experienced high school as us seniors know it to be. Allowing Mrs.Jennings to remain as the primary teacher would allow them a sense of normalcy as they are still getting used to Lane Tech.
