Keep Mr. Magdziasz at Goffstown
Why this petition matters
Hello to all my friends and family around GTown. Please allow me to beg for your attention here while I present a monumental concern that I have for our school district. It has come to my attention that my very good friend, as well as an amazing supporter to many of our families (whether you know it or not), will not be returning to MVMS next year due to staffing cuts that were out of his control. Jeff Magdziasz has been a resource for both the school, as well as its students, for as many years as I can remember. I know for certain, that Mr. M has been there to interact with children such as mine, at any time that they needed an educator who would reason with them appropriately, so that they could move forward with their day, affording them the chance to salvage what may have otherwise been” wasted” time spent at school. He is not only an academic supporter for most, but he is the behavioral support for our kids, as well as other educators in the school. For instance, when abrasive type situations arise, Jeff is the calming voice that intervenes, allowing the rest of the students, and teachers, to go about their day. He then works with those involved in the background, to mediate the situation, allowing those students to then go about their days as well. Furthermore, he has been substituting for many during the pandemic, allowing someone familiar to all our kids to fill in, creating a seamless transition for them. My goal here is to voice an opinion, with the hopes that many will feel the same way, therefore getting the attention of the schoolboard to possibly find other means to cut costs out of the budget, as this guy here is nothing short of an asset to our schools, as well as our families!! Thank you for taking a moment to read. -Paul
Magdziasz subbed my sixth grade year after one our amazing teachers, Mrs. Quimby, passed away. He was there for all of us, helped us through our grief, our homework, and our home lives. He was always the one teacher you could trust and who you knew would protect you if things went south. This man was a huge reason of why I made it through sixth grade and I will always look back as him being one of the best teachers I’ve ever had and one of the best human beings I’ve ever known. -Shea
