The University of Arkansas' decision to make masks "recommended" does not provide disabled students, faculty, and staff with an environment to safely work and attend classes. On top of this, the university says it will not grant access to remote accommodations for anyone, claiming that the vulnerable in the community should just wear a mask to protect themselves, even though research shows that is not as significantly effective as widespread masking.

The lives and rights of disabled and vulnerable members of the community have been violated by the decision to remove mask mandates on the University of Arkansas' campus.
