The citizens of Jamaica Beach, Texas believe that all USPS packages should be delivered locally.  Citizens should not have to travel 14 miles or 28 miles round trip to the main Galveston Post Office to retrieve any package.  This requires one gallon of gasoline for each trip that is an undue burden on the citizens of Jamaica Beach  

Please note that other neighborhoods nearby are getting deliveries to their homes and that a similar service level should be provided to the citizens of Jamaica Beach. 

The Galveston Postmaster is requested to consider providing a solution that does not require any package be picked up more than one mile away from each citizen’s physical address.
