Kennesaw State University announced today (3/2/22) that they are taking away their upperclassmen students’ freedom to live with their chosen roommates; announcing the stunning decision on a small live stream, they snuck underneath the public’s nose and announced their disquieting plan to force older students to live with strangers against their will.
Previously, this was an option for students to either live with randomly assigned roommates, or have the liberty to choose their own roommate group in order to be assured housing with their ideal fellow students.

Not only is this morally unethical, but also a threat to many students’ safety- as one of the most proudly diverse universities in the southeast, KSU must take precautions for the mental and physical health of its upperclassmen who are working hard to earn their degrees.

With this petition we stand against Kennesaw State University’s unfair and sudden housing policy for the safety and betterment of our students.
