As parents and concerned community members of Gateway PS, we strongly oppose the decision to move our current principal, George Patsopoulos from our school.. 

While Mr. P. is about to complete his fifth year as a principal at Gateway, two of these years were under covid, and as such we would like to advocate for keeping him at the school. 

Mr. P. wants to stay at the school first and foremost. 

He has championed many forms of communication at the school that have proved to be of use (Office drop in, the friday flash, being heavily involved in the school council meetings.). Mr P. is sensitive to the particular needs of our community in terms of diversity, equity and inclusion. He is someone who cares deeply for our school, is very reachable, and has been tremendously successful in promoting positive behaviour and interactions among students and staff conducive to learning and teaching.
