Keep East Ham Clean

Keep East Ham Clean

Hello there, neighbours!
My name is Diego, and I live here on Skeffington Roar, in East Ham, where my partner and I have been owning a house for several years.
I am writing this to all the residents of the historic centre of East Ham and Skeffington Road in particular, owners or renting, that love this little village projected into London, and wish it to thrive, better itself and become an even better place to live in the future.
You all know that our High Street and many of the roads adjacent to it suffer from a continued problem with waste management, littering and general, occasional states of degradation (waste abandoned in the street after a long day on the High Street and general disregard for the public, shared living space). This is certainly due to the fact that we live so close to the very centre of this area, to the shopping areas, but also to the customs of a number of people, residing and not, here.
I want to put a stop to this. I want our High Street and Skeffington Road to look presentable at all times of the day, without being covered in shoppers’ and other kinds of litter and waste. I want the habits of people, visitors and residents to change for the better.
These and more are the reasons why I am strongly inviting you to sign this petition, that I intend to hand in to Newham Council in order to rectify things and start protecting our immediate neighbourhood and treating it with better care. This is a great place to live: let's make it even better!
Please, join me and my family in building a better living space for yourselves and your family.
With my very best wishes,
Diego, A Skeffington Road resident
