Keep DYU's Favorite Peds Professor - Dr. Sarah Pictor

Keep DYU's Favorite Peds Professor - Dr. Sarah Pictor
Why this petition matters
Dr. Sarah Pictor (PT, DPT, PCS), a D'Youville University faculty member, is set to retire May 27th, 2022. To our knowledge, she is very interested in teaching PT602 as an adjunct faculty member, for second year students in fall of 2022, as well as the possibility of other pediatric electives. The university's administration's policy currently opposes hiring retired faculty to fulfill adjunct positions and teach courses that are not only required for our program, but important to our curriculum for the licensure exam and to fulfill future careers as physical therapists. There is great uncertainty for the Class of 2024 as we are concerned about who will teach the pediatric curriculum. Dr. Pictor is not only an experienced professor, but she is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatrics. With her skill set and teaching credentials,
Dr. Pictor is the ONLY faculty member who is qualified to teach the pediatric curriculum for DPT at DYU.
Dr. Pictor has impacted many our lives beyond her role as a university professor and by signing this petition is our way of helping her continue to do what she loves.
Below is a list of current students, alumni and individuals who stand with the Class of 2024 to allow Dr. Pictor to teach in an adjunct position.
Thank you for your consideration.
