In September 2022 the Army Cadets detachment in Clipstone is scheduled to close but not be disbanded meaning that the cadets that parade will have to move to an alternative detachment if they wish to continue attending.  This will mean that they will have to travel by car to attend which could be difficult for some/most even more so in the current climate.

Given that the anti-social behaviour in the area is rising it is all the more important for it to remain open as somewhere the young people to go.  

There has been a detachment in Clipstone for many many years and it would be a shame for it to close now.  The discipline, respect and sense of belonging that it gives those who attend is priceless and in my opinion worth fighting for.
