The cheerleaders need to be in front of the student section to have easy communication with the spirit boys and help lead the crowd during the entire second half considering the third quarter can be the most pivotal quarter of many games. The cheerleaders help to keep the crowd involved and a highly spirited atmosphere. As they switch with the dance team it is hard to hear their cheers and the student body loses enthusiasm and attention to the game.
