I am concerned about the safety of our students with the unification (consolidation) of Castaneda and Cromack elementaries in the BISD school district. It was stated that the fence would be taken down which means the combined campuses would span from Southmost Rd to the end of the Castaneda's property line. This is a huge area so are more security guards going to be added? Both campuses have 460+ enrollment where in BISD,  there are campuses with half that enrollment. The better solution is to close the smaller campuses and have other campuses serve those students. There would be empty classrooms,  hallways,  offices, and walkways in the unused portion in Cromack which is very scary. Please help protect our students and staff and sign this petition.
