Art Briles was hired as the Offensive Coordinator for the Grambling State University Tigers football team on Thursday, February 24, 2022. After backlash on social media, Briles resigned on Monday, February 28, 2022 stating that his “continued presence will be a distraction.”   Briles was found NOT GUILTY and proven to be WRONGFULLY TERMINATED by Baylor in 2016 surrounding sexual assault allegation cover-ups.

With the hiring of Hugh Jackson as Head Coach and Art Briles as the Offensive Coordinator, GSU would be the powerhouse in HBCU football that has never been seen.  This petition is in support of Briles rescinding his resignation and for the University of Louisiana System Board to approve his hire with a majority vote.  Grambling has been all about second chances and redemption.  And this is the perfect way  to show our school pride and support of Art Briles by signing this petition.  We support Jackson and Briles, because We Are Grambling!
