Abortions should be a choice that the woman pregnant should be able to choose If she feels that she is not ready to handle the responsibility of having a child. People will have an abortion whether it is legal or not but criminalizing abortions would make it more unsafe and life-threatening. If abortion is legal these women will have safe, and accessible medical procedures to terminate the fetus. In 1803 the first anti-abortion law was made. from there the laws became more prevalent until it was almost common for women to do an illegal abortion and some to die during the procedure. Roe v. Wade was a Supreme Court decision to allow pregnant women the liberty to have an abortion without excessive governmental restrictions. Texas has recently 2021 made policies so that anyone can sue any medical personnel that helped women get an abortion. We cannot let this go on and slip back into old ideas that should have never been revived.
