As we all know Go North East is terminating the number 25 bus service from Langley Park to Chester Le Street.  This is going to have a really big impact on our village and our neighbouring villages including Sacriston and Witton Gilbert.  This is the only service we have which allows  residents to travel on one bus to Chester Le Street.    There is a lot of people who use this service from a varied age range for various reasons. These  include traveling to work, to school, to socialise and many more. The most effected will be old age pensioners who rely on this service to get their shopping and all of the school children who attend schools in Chester Le Street.  My daughter attends a school in Chester Le Street  and gets this bus to and from school.  If this service stops running this means she will need to get 3 buses to travel to school which is only  a 10 minute journey .  I am sure there is lots of over people with the same issue.  She is unable to walk as there is no foot path leading into waldridge and it would be unsafe.  I am unable to pick her up as I work full time and I am certain there will be a lot of other parents who rely on this service to get their children to school.  Please help us keep this service running by signing this petition.
