Barry Laney started this petition to Governor Kay Ivey and

Our Civil Liberties and Rights seem to be diminishing As the COVID-19 shutdown has shown the assault on our fundamental rights is not coming only from the radical left. Mainstream politicians are taking advantage of the rollback of constitutional protections. At the state level, just like the passage of the Civil Rights Act ignored the U.S. Constitution in the name of ending segregation, the Constitution is being pushed aside in the name of public safety. We The People have allowed the governor to suspend laws and give her proclamations the “force of law” stand in clear violation of the Constitution. We must do something to stop the assault on our rights unleashed by the Civil Rights Act almost 50 years ago. And it must be done before the ridicule that liberty-minded Americans are experiencing now turns into a complete lock down of our civil rights. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH

These LOCKDOWN  measures on their face, restricting the movement of free people, are a violation of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Declaration was adopted in 1948 in “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal inalienable rights of all members of the human family.” Some of the listed enumerated rights that are violated by quarantine orders are, the right to:  liberty, freedom of movement,  freedom of religion in community with others, freedom of peaceful assembly and association, work and protection against unemployment, education, and freely participate in community.

To what extent should the Constitution be violated to fight the coronavirus? Lock downs, especially ones that apply to people who haven’t tested positive for the virus, are constitutionally questionable.

Often, efforts to roll back civil liberties face political opposition, but now bipartisan support for rights-restricting COVID-19 responses could smooth the path for constitutional erosion. James Madison predicted as much when he described constitutional rights as “parchment barriers,” easily transgressed when the majority is so inclined. And indeed, history presents numerous examples of liberty violations made in the face of security threats: the Alien and Sedition Acts signed into law by President John Adams, Japanese American internment camps during WWII, and the use of torture after 9/11. After the threat has subsided, Americans must recognize any constitutional violations for what they were, lest they become the new normal. WE THE PEOPLE HAVE HAD ENOUGH. It is time we stand, it is time we put a stop to injustice in the name of keep us safe. Our liberties and rights are at stake here. We have to say we have had enough and bind together as ONE people to end the tyranny of cruel and oppressive government rule.

There has never been and will not be any need for lock down, social distancing, mask, or any other oppressive stances in the name of health. The flu each year take approximately half a million lives and we don't do any of this. The numbers that Covid 19 has taken is very minuscule in comparison.

I ask all to stand with me and let us together make a change before those that are our public servants and not our rulers make changes we cannot live with and our children's children cannot live with. God Bless you and thank you for all your support in this cause.
