As cheerleaders we sign up to cheer on our football team, yet due to the Corona Virus we are not allowed to travel to away games to cheer. At my school we only have 3 home games. The cheerleading team already doesn’t get provided with busses and we travel separately as to the football players, who are even still riding the bus, where it is impossible to social distance. We also are required to, and will, wear masks while cheering, and we get our temperature taken before every practice. We all signed a COVID-19 waiver before we even tried out as well. For many, this is their senior or freshmen year cheering and it’s very important to cheer our full season. My goal for this petition is for it to get to the Brevard County Schools School board to allow the cheerleaders to cheer our whole season. We are cheerleaders, let us cheer.
