Revoke permanent alcohol ban at Coogee Park.

The laws which have previously restricted alcohol consumption in Coogee Park (no drinking after 6pm) were effective and always complied with.

A once off Christmas day party attended by a majority of people most likely from suburbs other than Coogee should not result in a permanent alcohol ban at Coogee Park.

Although appropriate measures had to be taken, I believe the initial decision of a single summer ban is punishment enough.

For years Coogee locals have enjoyed a few quiet drinks on the Dunningham and Goldstein Reserves before sunset. This is Australian culture. This should not be taken away because of a once off occasion of which many locals took no part in and were disgusted with the aftermath.

I ask that the permanent alcohol ban at Coogee Park be revoked
