Kathleen Wynne, intervene in the Ontario College strike. Back to work legislation now!!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
After 4 weeks, it has become clear that both the Striking Ontario College employees of OPSEU and the College Employer Council are unable to come to a compromise. Both parties seem willing to sacrifice the semester of 500 000 students, with no regard to the damage that will be done to those who pay and work hard to be in the programs they attend.
It is time that the Provincial government, lead by Kathleen Wynne, and the Minister for Advanced Education, Deb Matthews, get involved by introducing a back to work legislation before it is too late to salvage the semester.
That time is approaching very quickly. The Provincial Liberals hold a majority government in the Legislative Assembly. They can pass back to work legislation tomorrow if they so choose.
It's time we speak in a language that all politicians understand...voting.
By signing this petition, not only do you demand that our Provincial government intercede on our behalf, but you pledge to not vote for a Liberal MPP in the upcoming election on June 7th 2018 if no intervention occurs.
Right now the provincial government fears losing union votes more than losing ours. We need to show them that is a grave decision they are making. Please join me in signing this petition and pledge, so we can get back to the classroom where we all belong.
