Increase Infant and Toddler Child Care Spaces in Ontario

In Ontario, most parents have to return to work by the time their baby is 12 months old; however, many licensed child care centres do not have spaces for infants and young toddlers. Many centres begin at Preschool age, which is 2.3 years; others can take a few children over 16 months. If the government of Ontario increases funding to child care centres that offer spaces from 10 months and up, more families will have access to quality licensed care for their infants and toddlers.
