Refund of money for the Diploma of Counselling (Open Colleges)

This petition is for students at Open Colleges studying the Diploma of Counselling that wish to be entitled to a refund of money spent to commence the course.
Government reforms introduced December 2016 meant students like myself that began the old format were given the option of completing the old format by mid 2017 or begin the new reformed format and get minimal credit for work previously done (depending on where they were up to in the previous format).
Since these changes the workload has increased and support/feedback is minimal. I and others have expressed frustration at the format and lack of motivation and desire to continue with studies at Open Colleges.
I believe these Government Reforms were being developed for over 12 months prior to commencing December 2016 yet no students were notified (until said changes were informed to current students) and were allowed to be signed up despite this inevitably occurring. Leaving students feeling as though they had wasted time with the timeframe allowed to complete the previous format minimal to complete both theory and practical workplace components for the course in time.
We ask that we are given a refund as the reformed course is not what we initially signed up for and the level of support available to students and guidance of assessments is unacceptable and not living up to expectations at the time of signing up.
Individuals will then be able to choose where and how they would like to utilise said money perhaps to continue studies in another organisation that offers a refined course and greater support for students.
