March 8th, 1987. It was Sunday, under the sign of Pisces. The US president was Hollywood actor, Ronald Reagan. In that special week of March, people in the US were listening to "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi. In the UK "Everything I Own" by Boy George was in the top five hits. "Evil Dead II" was breaking the box-office while "Windmills of the Godsby" by Sidney Sheldon was one of the best-selling books. All of these events fall short in comparison to the birth of Emily Jablonski. Jablonski, whom she has come to be known, has taken the world by storm for almost 30 years. Her mere presence brings joy to those around her. With her radiant love, support, laughter, tenaciousness, creativity, and generous spirit, Jablonski has enriched the lives of those who have had the fortune to know her. The “Jablonski effect” echoes her kindness through each person she touches and via this reverberation enriches all of humankind.
Humanity, we have been amiss in our cloistered celebrations of Jablonski’s birth. We must gather and commemorate Jablonski on a grand scale, worthy of our hero.
Let us declare March 8th Jablonski day! Huzzah, Hip-hip-hurrah, March 8th will forever be known as Jablonski celebration day!!!
