Our mental health is real in Oregon and why spend billions to abandon it and abandon those people who need help not to mention the jobs it provides

Because we need more Mental Health services in Oregon, not less.

Kate is proposing to shut down a youth offenders facility in Warrenton and trim state funding to Oregon's Community Care organizations, turning her back on the raising need for mental health and wanting to close a less than two yr old mental health facility that she spear headed! And she wants to raise taxes! Who is she working for? Change your priorities, Kate...walk amongst us and listen to what our needs are then make smart decisions that will benefit those in desperate need of services!

Mental health is a huge problem that is severely underfunded and not dealt with. This is something that REALLY needs to change everywhere, not just here.

I'm signing because I do not believe that Kate Brown understands exactly what the Junction City Hospital does. I strongly encourage her to visit and take a tour, understand that they are treating criminally insane persons and "local community programs" are in no way be appropriate even if they were properly funded to handle such a load. These patients will wind up on the streets and in our jails - untreated.
