Most of the films which are released in Karnataka apart from Kannada movies are capped at a price of ₹400 per show which even goes up to ₹1000 in IMAX. The same movie ticket prices are capped between ₹150  to ₹200 in neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Karnataka State Government recently announced in Budget 2017 that ticket price for movies is Karnataka should not cross ₹200 irrespective of any shows.  (http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/karnataka/cap-on-price-of-multiplex-tickets-in-karnataka/article17468952.ece None of the multiplexes and most single screens are not following this yet and charge minimum of ₹500 for movies like Baahubali and ₹100 for Kannada or regional movies . It's the right time to oppose this or in future there is no doubt that all the movies except regional  will be capped at a minimum price of ₹1000. It's us who have made multiplexes set a price between that cap.

There are lot of people who earn on daily wage and they don't get a chance to watch the movies of their choice when their daily wage is charged as ticket price. I personally feel there is no need to pay ₹500 for a movie on the day of release as the same will be charged ₹200 after 3 days of release.

Due to high prices of other language movies there is also a downfall of Kannada Film Industry which is disastrous. Lot of producers, distributors and film crew are facing huge loss too.

Please do research on this and if you feel there is a point in questioning please support by signing this petition and let's make the change happen very quick. Also please do share this on social media too.
